Mary Hardin-Francis is the owner of Hardin-Francis Enterprises, LLC, a marketing communication firm with clients in multiple industries throughout Texas. With over 25 years of communications experience, Mary won a Bronze Quill in 2012 and Silver Quills for work in 2011. She has served on the Board as Secretary and President-elect and began her volunteer experience in 2009 by creating the website for the IABC Southern Regional Conference.
President-Elect
Mark Hiebert has spent the last decade helping clients blow away their competition by creating exceptional photography for print and electronic media. He continues to enjoy growing his business, working with new technologies, and wearing a variety of hats – particularly his black Biltmore fedora. In addition to documenting IABC Houston events and the 2009 Southern Regional Conference, Mark has been a wise and energetic presence at Board meetings, always looking to be part of the solution.
Past President
Elaine W. Krause has LOVED her year as president of this remarkable organization, working with a great Board and another on the way. Mainly, she's off to pursue new business opportunities providing technical content for local energy and petrochemical companies. Elaine is excited to see several younger members join the leadership team at IABC Houston and hopes the trend will continue.
Vice-President for Finance
Kathryn Butcher returned to the Board in 2011, and in her first year she's helped develop a workable, program-based budget and improved the format and content of our monthly reports. In her day job, Kathryn is VP for Public Relations with the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans (AAMA). She was VP for Marketing and Communications with Neighborhood Centers Inc., and for many years Vice President of Community Relations with Wells Fargo.
Vice-President for Marketing
Tina Robison had a busy and productive first year on the Board of IABC Houston, as Director for Corporate Outreach, implementing a new series for senior communicators. She brings a unique perspective to internal communications by providing decision-driven, fit-for-purpose solutions for Chevron. Tina has been involved with the chapter for close to three years, beginning with the 2009 Southern Region Conference. In her new role she hopes to broaden the reach of IABC Houston to communicators across the city.
Vice-President for Member Services
Nicole J. Pickens returns to the Board for a second year, serving last year as Director of Internal Communications. She is a Business Process Optimization Advisor at Chevron, and focuses on the continued improvement and simplification of facility management and real estate services. Nicole's previous employers include Fleishman-Hillard and Texas A&M University (Whoop!). She was on the planning committee for the 2009 Southern Regional Conference and has served as an officer for the Houston Association of Black Journalists.
Vice-President for Professional Development

As an independent business owner, she provides instructional design services on any topic and delivers instructor-led training courses.
