Based on his experience co-authoring one published and one about-to-be
published book on business communication, Mark Schumann will share the joys, horrors and pitfalls of authorship. Whether or not you believe you have "one book inside you," Mark's adventures and advice will be both entertaining and valuable.

Speaker Mark Schumann, ABC

Mark Schumann is a 13-time Gold Quill winner and the co-author of Brand from the Inside, published in 2006, and Brand for Talent, to be published in 2009. Mark, a past IABC/Houston Communicator of the Year and highly regarded speaker, has been at the front of the profession in such issues as creating an employee brand, managing change through effective communication, coaching and training CEO and line managers to conduct effective face-to-face communication, conducting research to measure return on investment in communication, and motivating employees to be effective consumers of the programs the organization offers, from benefits to pay to career development. In all of his work, he brings a strong passion for results, a creative commitment to innovation, and an enduring focus on the real people the organization is trying to reach.

Mark is the current IABC vice-chairman.
