Business Longevity – Success for the Long Haul
Sponsored by ESIG - Entrepreneurs Strategic Interest Group
Thursday 12-Feb-09 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM CST
Running a small business certainly has its challenges. An owner who remains flexible, sets realistic goals and plans for inevitable downturns can outlast the competition and achieve long-term success. Chris Noble's company, Marnoble Computer Sales & Service, has succeeded by keeping client service on target, on task and on schedule.
Her presentation will offer a common-sense approach to running a business, based on her (and her extraordinary team’s) 18-year success, a healthy bottom line and myriad awards from the community.
Join us on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, to hear Chris describe some of the secrets of Marnoble’s success, including:
In 1990, Chris Noble recognized an opportunity to sell and service computers. She formed a company that has continued to thrive in the Houston market, through up times and down. Chris exudes a spirit of adventure and a passion for business development and customer support, and shows an abiding loyalty to her long-term employee team.
In May the company received the prestigious Pinnacle Award (for business ethics) from the Better Business Bureau. They are also ranked on the Houston Business Journal’s "Top 50 Fastest-Growing Women Owned Businesses" and the "Houston Fast 100" lists.
In 2003, Chris was named Woman Business Owner of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners; in 2006 a Top Woman in Technology by the Association for Women in Computing; and in 2007 the Woman of the Year by the American Business Women’s Association.
