Event Description

Author, blogger, consultant and international barbecue champion Rockin’ Ronnie Shewchuk is coming to Houston to share his expertise in employee communication – along with some good ‘ole Southern-style barbecue wisdom. Ronnie’s lunch event will serve up a lip-smackin’ multi-course meal featuring award-winning recipes from his bestselling cookbooks as he talks about how great barbecue is a lot like great communication.

Ronnie authored the IABC Knowledge Bank book, Writing & Editing the Employee Publication, and plans to discuss best practices in internal communications, including a look at the changing values of today’s employees and the implications of social media and Web 2.0 for communicators. Ronnie’s pre-conference Communication Cookout session at the 2006 IABC International Conference in Vancouver sold out in days, so be sure to register early for this unique and entertaining event!

Actual program runs from 11:30 - 1:15 (lunch will be served as part of the program!), so plan to arrive promptly (11:15) and stay an extra 15 minutes!

Free parking is available behind the Armadillo Palace, next door behind Goode Company BBQ, or across Kirby at Goode Company Seafood.

We have been working on getting Ron here for many months! Put on your best Go Texan outfit one day ahead of time -- and kick off this year's Rodeo doings with your IABC/Houston buds. It'll be a good time -- and tasty, too!
