Luncheon: Everything I Know About Employee Communications, I Learned From Barbecue

Author, blogger, consultant and international barbecue champion Rockin’ Ronnie Shewchuk will serve up a lip-smackin’ multi-course meal featuring award-winning recipes from his bestselling cookbooks as he talks about how great barbecue is a lot like great communication.
 
Ronnie authored the IABC Knowledge Bank book, Writing & Editing the Employee Publication, and plans to discuss best practices in internal communications, including a look at the changing values of today’s employees.

His pre-conference Communication Cookout session at the 2006 IABC International Conference in Vancouver sold out in days, so be sure to register early!

Actual luncheon program runs from 11:30 - 1:15
(lunch will be served as part of the program!), so plan to arrive promptly (11:15)! Workshop runs from 1:30 - 4:00 PM.

After lunch Ron, who authored the IABC Knowledge Bank book, "Writing and Editing the Employee Publication," will lead an afternoon workshop on best practices in internal communications, including a look at the changing values of today's employees and the implications of social media and "Web 2.0" for communicators.
  
Ronnie's pre-conference Communication Cookout session at the 2006 IABC International Conference in Vancouver sold out in days and was one of the three highest rated sessions of the conference, so be sure to register early for these unique and entertaining events!

Registration Deadlines: The lower-price early registration deadline is midnight on Monday before the Thursday event. The final registration deadline is midnight on Wednesday before the event. Online reservations and credit card payments will not be accepted after that time; please pay with check or cash at the door. Because we must order meals Tuesday morning, cancellations cannot be accepted after midnight on Monday.

Space is sometimes available for walk-in attendees. Payment by cash or a check made out to IABC/Houston will be accepted at the door. Credit card payments are accepted only for online reservations.

 

If you register online but prefer to pay by cash or check at the door, complete the online registration and click the "Pay At Event" button on the electronic invoice screen. This will confirm your registration and pricing.
