Event Description

Dealing with crises and the media are critical skills communication professionals need (and often think they have). Truth is, those skills can get rusty. And, in the era of 24/7 Internet and cable coverage, even minor events can quickly morph into something even the most polished CEO or communications officer is unprepared to deal with.

On Tuesday, October 5, two seasoned crisis communicators will candidly discuss the events of the day – and offer both new and time-tested tools for dealing with crisis, the media, and the changing communications terrain.

No slides or fancy panels – just two guys, a couple of handouts, and a lively conversation around some good, bad, and a few distinctly ugly experiences.

Join us for the first in a semi-regular series of informal, affordable, “off the record” conversations. We're calling them IABC Lite -- light on cost but NOT light on content!

Comments

Bar food's on us (some of the best in town, according to the Houston Press); drinks are on you. Cash bar.

Walk-ins are definitely welcome at this event; although we'd love for you to register here, just so we can see who's coming!
