Getting the Message Out FAST and Accurately

It's dark out,  the storm has raged for hours and power's out all over town. How do we share with the public, especially our customers, the vital information they need in a low-key, informative way?

This is the situation CenterPoint Energy's Communications Team prepares for on a daily basis. They can't control mother nature but they can control how, and how soon, critical information is released to the community.

At this event, Floyd LeBlanc will share how to prepare your organization for crisis communications in a world where 24/7 digitial media rules the airwaves. Your company may or may not service millions of homes in the Houston area, but it does have stakeholders invested in your business continuity. In our lunch session Mr. LeBlanc will discuss how to:

  • Review techniques to craft a response that highlights the company's position within minutes of a crisis
  • Establish dedicated sub-websites to continuously update information after a wide-reaching crisis, such as a hurricane or tropical storm
  • Replace lengthy public notices with rapid webiste updates to give media and the public quick, clear information
Don't miss your chance to hear from one of the most experienced crisis communication experts in Texas.
